My brakes on my midwheel base are s*%t replaced rotors pads master cylinder and slave cylinders and still cant stop the thing, made sure the back brakes are ajusted as well.
Does any one know if I can upgrade the callipers on the front to something that works, something that does not need much modification or bolts straight on, without spending the earth
Cheers Russ

Re: Brake upgrades
Hilux calipers are bigger, V6 4runner are supposed to be bigger again and both bolt on. You'll need to trim/grind the backing plate slightly.rustynuts wrote:My brakes on my midwheel base are s*%t replaced rotors pads master cylinder and slave cylinders and still cant stop the thing, made sure the back brakes are ajusted as well.

The 80 series master cylinder/booster are bigger and bolt in - but the piston shaft needs a slight extension.

Re: brakes
Piss easy. I just bolted a bit of square section in between - very dodgy, was meant to be a stop-gap-measurerustynuts wrote:Thanks for that stu I appreciate it, Will start looking at the wreckers, is the adding an extension easy?
