Gu key immobilser issue.
Gu key immobilser issue.
I have a 2001 gu td42t with the transponder in the key.
I beleive this activates/deactivates the fuel pump.
At the moment intermitemtly the car won't start. (yes it cranks over fine)
Took it to nissan and hooked diagnostic to it and it had logged invalid key codes.
This can be fixed with a new key and or reader unit.
Does anyone know how to bypass this?
I bought a td42 for the reliability but it seems even a pissy key issue can stop u, it would be handy to know how to bypass it when I'm in the middle of nowhere and it happen again.

I priced a key blank today $100 + $45 apparently for recoding! Laughed and walked out as another nissan dealer does it for free.GUJohnno wrote:I had the code drop out of a key and Nissan re-coded it for free.
Apparenty its common for this code to drop out on Ebay or cheap keys, but from what I read on patrol forum OEM keys are this shiznit

Yeah but can happen to Nissan keys as well.
Try to keep them away from magnetic fields also even dropping them can make it happen.
Best to have the spare key with you if you go away. Be s**t to be stuck in the bush with a buggered key.
(although the only reason a 4.2 would get towed back home hey Bogged)

Which dealer?SuperGQ wrote:I just got told by nissan that it was going to be $180 per key to purchase, cut and programme.
Jump on Patrol4x4 forum and have a look, theres a bloke on there that does alright prices on shiz, hes in Melb.. Then you just need programming. IF you need the remote door opener he can do them too and includes instructions on how to make it work without nissan dealer
Good luck trying to bypass the NATS system, if you work it out let us know!
if you have your injection pump rebuilt with out the fuel cut out system fitted then you will get around it.
The system uses a coded module and a cut out solenoid on the back of the pump, and good luck trying to remove that too.

Living the dream on the hill that floods
Trucks now been a nissan for 5 days, they reckkon its now not the key but a wiring issue.
There pulling the dash apart and computer out to find the problem, which they think is between the computer and pump, but still reads as a key error.
Gotta fing a bypass for this pump solenoid.

If you can bypass the solenoid/key imobilised you still need the correct key to unlock the steering and crank it over.
Real thieve's will steal anything they need or want no matter what you do (imobilized or not), this stuff just stops joy riders amd honest people.
