Water cooling a 1HDT turbo on a 1 HZ

I have searched, in fact hear and else where,only to realise I suck at the internet :roll:
Anyway I wanna know what others think/know/reckon about water cooling the std Toyota turbo from the 1HDT when it's on a 1HZ. I have found you can just "T" the lines into the heater hoses but waht I wanna know is if you can simply purchase the cooling lines from a 1HDT and use them.

You can buy the stuff, but it will cost alot... the outlet of the head water, a small pipe to come across the front of the head, and the water outlet out of the block, best idea would be to get these bits off a dead motor.
I have seen Ulissis turbo install (udm on here) where he drilled the std block outlets and screwed barbed fitting in them...pm him and he will send you his URL of piccies

One cooling pipe actually runs behind the timing cover, so would you be prepared to remove that to install it?

As Andrew said, you can drill and tap the relevant water outlet / inlets and plumb them that way.

I have seen UDM's website. It was a great source of information.
I am an engineering nightmare but am very able to boltn on, bolt off bits, so getting all bolt on bits may be a little more expensive initially, but I may save in the long run as I wont have to pay someone to fab up stuff, including drilling and tapping. I have been advised the pipe that goes behind the timing cover requires me to simply remove and refit it so I think I can handle that.
I think by using all std stuff, except for the oil pick up, I will end up with a better finish, and if anything fails, replacement bits will be easier to source.
In saying that I am aware I will need to pay someone to hook up the exhaust and I have booked it in to have this, the oil return and dyno tune done, but I am hoping everything else I can handle at home. Am I dreaming?

Cooling lines. Top one from 1HZ, bottom from 1HDT with additional cooling line. Easily removed and refitted.

The other one is a bit more tricky to fit. It runs behing the timing case assymbly which needs to be removed to fit to 2 of the water pump bolts.

That appears to be the case. There is a saddle holding the pipe horizontal which I removed that allowed me to wriggle it around a bit whilst levering it up where it attaches the block. It came out no worries and the other one went in just as easy and to make sure I gave it a little tap with the hammer. I can only assume there is an "O" ring inside the fitting.

Turbo's on and I now have the cooling lines and oil in connected.

and the hi pressure oil in line. I had a fiting added (at Pirtec in Dandy) where the oriional line bolted to the block then a hose made that goes around the block and picks up oil at the oil pressure gauge sender. (pic taken lying under car looking up)

Well the drain was added thanks to PGS (I used a section of the cooling line I removed ).

and used some blue silicone heater hose which is apparently the wrong type so I plan to change it as soon as I get a chance.

All is now back together although I still need a breather hose for the intake but the sump went on without too many issues. At this early stage all seems OK with no oil or water leaks. The exhaust was modified at PGS and a tune was done there also so I now have a zoom zooming (well in my eyes!!) 80!!.

Anyway all the 1HDT bits have come from TOYHATSU WRECKING which have made this conversion easy for me to do and the minor mods that were done were taken care of by PGS. So far all is good!!
I still also need to install the pyro which turned up today.
