plugs are fouling
plugs are fouling
i had the standard carby in my sierra die on friday so i have put a weber on it. The only numbers i could find on the weber were 27 and 28 i hope this carby will be alright for it but the real p[roblem i have is that the new plugs are very black with some tan coloured spots on them. The car starting running very rough last night and sounded like it was only running on 3 cylinders does anyone know what might be causing it to run this way. Id like to get it running smoothly and reliable im not concerned about getting maximum power as its my transport to and from work
It sounds like its running extremely rich and clogging up the plugs preventing them from firing properly. When i had my weber which i later discovered was off a large v6 or similiar i also had the same problems. Is there no other numbers on the weber at all? Maybe somewhere down near the baseplate where it mounts to the manifold?
More Suzuki parts going to the big Suzuki Heaven in the sky!
26 and 27 sound like the size of the barrels which would probly make it a 32/36, it will be stamped on the baseplate.
Undo the top cover and check the jets airs on top and mains in the bowl, idles are on the side.
It can be jetted to run great on the 1300, I have the larger 38 on my 1600 that can also be jetted to run on the 1300 so theres no worries of yours being to big.
Have a read through the weber thread on here and also on www.zuwharrie.com to good more info.
