e Swaybar Disconnects

Post by santaz351 »

Hi all
I'm about to put a 4" lift in my Gq and have factory rear disconnecting swaybars. For the front swaybar i'm gonna put manual disconnects, but what do i do with the rear one? Can i keep the factory one or do i need to replace it with manual disconnects?

Cheers

for a 4inch lift you either need extended disconnects, or just toss the swaybars.

the std setup wont work as is

You can modify it with a longer pin thing.

If you use it as is, it wont work. Well, it will sort of break and then not work anymore. :p

if you lengthen the stock arms to reach the swaybar it will work.

you can cut the ball off the disconnect on the rear, and weld a section in to make it longer, and cut the left one as well, and make it longer.

70-90mm should keep it so it works full compression, and full extension without holding up travel.
