body lift

Post by Unit »

hey just wonderin what i need to get to put a 2 inch body lift on my jack its a 94 turbo diesel long wheel base with a 2 inch suspension lift.

just curious to see if i need extended brake lines or have to modify anythin to put the body lift in. I no that on patrols you have to cut out around the transfer case so you can still use low 4 just wanna no if this type of stuff is needed to do before i put it in

thanks in advance

Mate maybe try http://www.clubisuzu.com the forum on there, there is a few NZ people that have modded Jacks. But anyway when I did my MU 3"BL (similar to the Jack) the major items were steering shaft lengthen (but you should get away with that on 2") and gearstick lengthening/bending (you may get away with this also with just a bend), there are four bolts in the rear that bolt upwards into the body and they are 10mm metric fine thread (can't remember the pitch maybe 1.25...) and finding longer bolts is hard and I had to make them from longer bolts cut down and threaded in a lathe....

All brake lines are fine.
Go hard or go home!!!

3 inch is asking for to many dramas legal anf mod wise id go with 2 inch and wind your torsion bars up, flip ball joints and some extented shackles on the rear and should clear 33s no prob ;)
