if you modify the seats in a GU they will fit a GQ, but not a straight swap no

I put leather GQ seats from a TI model into my DX Patrol to spec it up a bit (love the heated seats thats for sure)

I have GU seats in my GQ, ended up costing about $10 for the pair after I sold my old standard ones :D

Heaps comfier but a fair bit of dicking around to fit - you need to be handy with the welder.

I had the sliders and everything from the GU, was much easier to use those, dont think it would be possible to adapt the GQ ones to the GU seats.

Cut the mounting brackets off, turn one round and weld it back on. 2" long section of 50mm square section for one mount, piece of scrap steel 6mm thick by 4" long welded on for another mount. Think the last one stayed standard actually. Been ages since I did it, but its not as bodgy as it sounds - I just used what was to hand in the workshop.

yeah I'm tring to get around using race seats as I've seen to many wear out on the edge where you get in and out as there side suport is usually a bit too high...
