Troopy Tyres

Post by Buggerific »

G'Day,

Just wanted to see what tyres you guys run on your troopy's.

I'll be up for new tyres soon so I thought I'd see what's best. Mate of mine used to have one and he ran 33's on his. Will these be fine without any lift or will they scrub?

I wouldn't mind keeping it all legal with this car, so keep the 31's but they just look too small.

I've still got the rocky up for sale with not much interest yet so I'm thinking about swapping out the tyres. I've got 31" Federal Muddies on it. But I don't know how good they'd really be on the troopy.

Any ideas would be lovely.

I'm running OME HD front springs which gave 65mm lift and OME Medium duty rear springs which gave 60mm of lift.

Running 15x8 Cruiser Offset Sunnies. Front left touches the mudflap bolt on full lock and the rears rub on the chassis rail when articulating. This has been fixed by using Snake Racing 1 1/2" spacers on the rear, and I'll be trying to get some 1" spacers for the front to make the track the same.
