HELP recovery points and arb winch bar
HELP recovery points and arb winch bar
hello i have a nissan patrol GQ got a arb winch bar and i can not find where to put a recovery point on the bottom. the hook is sitting up to hi and the snach strap will cut on the bottom of the bar Can you pleas help.
This is what I have on my winch bar, But after seeing a few bend (Not break) I welded some 5mm steel plate to the nut side of the plate to beef up the strength. Have done many snatches with this set up with no problems..danaz wrote:I have an ARB non winch bar but it's possibly the same in this area. On the two vertical posts in the centre there is two holes per post, you can bolt one of the common recovery hooks on there.
UnfortuneatleyThey aren't approved recovery points. There was a pic on a 4x4 forum very recently where the hole broke open and smashed the guys rear window, can't remember which forumOn the two vertical posts in the centre there is two holes per post, you can bolt one of the common recovery hooks on there.

Are you sure your thinking of the same 2 holes per side? I know the lower holes on the front are just for transport and break easily.[/quote]
