I dare say he has machined the ring with a 45 degree chamfer and left the radius that is already on the CV and butted them together (would have about a 4-5mm deep grove to weld into, Nice and Strong)
After he has welded it he has machined it so it looks neat and tidy (which it does)!!!
had a few probs wit fitting them basically there isnt enuf of a champher on the end coz wen i put it in and them bolt down the stub axle it tightens up, at first i thought that the ring was too thick but its the same if not shorter than the long and i putting it down 2 the local job bein a squarer end i taking them back 2mora 2 get looked at so will keep posted as i find more..
BTW old yealla from the board is running 1 on his drivers side and it held up good 2 the poundin he dished it at the nissan trials
BTW Tony, no only 1 long was farked i pulled the drivers again cleaned and re-greased and put it back in and pounded the piss outta it yeasty while runnin a stock birf in the passenger side and it held up fine no more clickin from the long either
POS wrote:So with the strong aussie dollar $80USD = $110.00 AUD (approx)
So $220.00AUD + about $90.00 AUD
=
$310.00 AUD for a pair of either Longs or Profields!!!
Also these items should be classed as Second hand products through Customs!!
Pretty bloody good!!!!!
thats good in theroy, but you forgot that bobby is in washington state so there is sales tax. 80x2+17%=187.20
187.20+90 (postage) or 120 if you want it insured.
277.20/72*100=385 australian dollars
customs inspection fee of 80 dollars so your up to 465.
then becouse they are new you "may" have to pay 36 precent tax on auto parts so that makes a grand total of 632.40, so if you do plan on doing this budget 650 a pair, but if anyone thinks that they can get them for 350ish a pair in will take 5 sets.

so what time of the day or night I call U.S.A and also I herd that they are about to stop the import and export tax.
