C'mon Bartso there has to be less to do than last year wasnt the paint srtill wet when you got to TT ............same as mine ........ ..

this year is different no major changes ...same ole same ole shite box :D

its a fawkn shame that TT dont do some sort of function at TT for competitors only ...cause as it is every fawker is normally to busy to have a drink or two ( I know the zero limit for events ) but will be good to try n catch up woth some competitors this year ..although it seems that Team Pirate will get to see most competitors drive everything b4 we do  .............doesnt matter Benny n myself n the Tiny VIT will still give it a red hawt go

Now Known
The final competitors list for the 2008 Tough Dog Tuff Truck Challenge is now up, and what a top-notch field it is!

On top of the three qualifying teams from TTC07, nominations from 41 high calibre teams went to the voting public.

The nominations for TTC08 saw the greatest array of teams in years, battling it out to make the cut for this year’s Tough Dog Tuff Truck Challenge. All teams have now been advised of their position in regards to vote count and placing in the field, let the team strategies begin! The teams who have not made the cut will go onto the reserves list and realistically still stand a good chance of competing.

Nominations were received from the length of the country’s eastern seaboard and include Victoria, ACT, New South Wales, Queensland and even further around the country from the Northern Territory. What happened to all you Tasmanians, South and West Australians? C’mon guys, you let your state down!

As for the voters, voting slips came from even further a field. The voting process has been become such a popular aspect of Tuff Truck, that slips from as far a field as New Zealand, England, The Philippines and the USA. The number of voting slips received was more than double that of from previous years, looks like you competitors are known outside of Australia as well!

The team with the most tallied voting points was a Victorian team (and the only Victorian team entered)- team Black Betty (Nick Hirons/Craig Withers). Congratulations go to Nick and Craig for a fine effort.

All that remains now is for the teams to work on the preparation of their trucks and get some saddle time in the lead up to TTC08, which is not far away now.

To check out the make up and the field position of each team go to http://www.tufftruck.com.au/nominees.html OR read Moose's post above :D

Matt, no problem on that front. You've beaten me to it, I was going to put out a press release on that one in about a week's time.

The fire hazard has eased in that part of he world, though if there was fire restrictions in place at the time of the event we'd have to adhere to that. No pallets etc. allowed, bringing chopped timber is OK or utilising wood on the ground that is on the property.

Cant believe Dobbin and Keck only made the reserves, and the redbull 40 has not entered. Seems he prefers the "zook"?

I think that was a bit of sarcasm. From what I have seen on here it looks like it will be (could've been) very capable.
What's the difference between ignorance and apathy? I don't know and I don't care.
