rain rain rain

Post by killbill »

Apparently there was a big dump of rain in Broken Hill in the last 24 hours

I hope that the rain stays away when we are there again ,had enough of it

last time.

Anyway this means those lagoons will have plenty of water in them,so

extra waterproofing will be required.

none of the rain we had in cq and western queensland heads that way, wasn't happy when my car wasn't going when the rains where here would have been good practice, i haven't driven in the mud in bout 4 years.

hay C&E,,talking about old times, I got a phone call from MAX BROWN today,
for those of you who dont remember,MAX used to do all the OBC events, all the QLD winch events, most VIC events,& even some MALASIAN events in his landrover, but a tragic 4x4 accident has put him into a wheelchair forever...
HE is after some help getting to the OBC for its 10th anniversary, what he needs a passenger in his van to assist him & his chair in the OBC conditions,he is taking a caravan & an offroad buggy,to get around all the SS stages..if any of the oldtimers are heading out & think they can help MAX, please PM me !!!!! thankyou all PIGLET

After reading about Max's unfortunate accident, im wondering what happened to the 'originals' eg, tony ryan, alf johnson, neil lennard etc. It would be good if some of them were there for the 10th. Wish i could help out :?

Sorry guys/ladies, I will not be able to make it.

Anyway have a good one and be carefull. And as the first Competition Manager, Ron Moon said "For one to finish first, first one must finish"

So take it easy and have fun.

It would be so good to see Max there again, seeing him a couple years ago was such a wonderful surprize. Also especially with Dave's UK Landi back....(Max's choice of comp truck)....do hope someone will step forward to help him out.

Yeah all those names....how good would it be to see them...and the Hall Brothers, who will ever forget Ron & Russel, Clay Mongan, Skiddy, so many more.........there sure where some unreal characters and lots of laughs....amazing team spirit too, special times.....
