Clutch shudder in 100 series
Hey guys,
Im looking at buying a 2002 100 series Landcruiser, its tidy as with only 90,000 on the clock, 4.2 diesel, 5spd, but when I took it for a drive there was a very noticeable clutch shudder for the first 5-10minutes of driving until it warmed up. once it was warmed up it was completely gone.
The guy that owns it reckons it hasn't been driven much for the past couple of months and once its driven more regularly that should go away. Is this a likely story or has the clutch had it?
Any feedback would be appreciated.

I also have a 100 series with the same clutch behavior as you mentioned. Got the car with 70,000 on it and now has158,000. I have asked and it is a common thing and the cure i have found after sitting idle for some time is to start the engine, select reverse and then ride the clutch with medium pressure for a minute or so and presto, you will find that you can drive away without any shudder. See how you go.
