Rover V8 in MX5

Post by awright »

Ok so mostly we look at what we can do with our rover motors to tweak them up, get more power. If we arent doing that we are looking at upgrading to holdens chevs, fords or isuzus and other options...

but here is a guy who has taken the bull by the horns and kept the mighty rover motor in his japanese car!!!

and they also used the odd 13b.

A bloke at work just finished one in his MG. Nice install. I will always remember someone i grew up with had one in their Nissan bluebird TRX, which was origionally installed when the car was bought new (1984).

13B or RV8 ?, i think it was Chris Hillman who put a 3.5 in a TRX in the early/mid 80's. Also seen a 3.5 in an 80/81 Celica and a 4.4 in a 300ZX that was on ebay last year.
