efi Gq auto to diesel auto

Post by skip-unstuck »

Hey All,
Bought a petrol auto, wan to tochange it back to a td42t,
Couple of quick ones,

Is the bellhousing different if I am changing from EFi Auto to a Diesel?
How/Does the computer work for the auto when diesel (no computer)?
Anybody know of any major issues with the change over?

Cheers

Thanks bogged, In the light of the $1500 computer, I was thinking maybe putting in a T700, I could buy a second hand one and have it tricked up. This would elimenate all electrics and still have a 4 speed,

What is the strength like in comparison, does anyone know?

I was told the tb42 auto can take up to 1300hp  but the converter would need to be beefed up.
