2.5" or 3" exhaust

Post by azzad »

I have TD42 in LWB GQ with a Schwitzer S2 Turbo Dynamics Setup

I have a perfectly good 2.5" straight through system, including dump pipe.

Is there much to be gained in stepping up to 3", as far as bang for buck goes?

Coz I could spend the $500+ for an exhaust on something like a locker or winch etc. Ultimately I would like to go with 3" but seen as my exhaust is pretty much new, if there isnt much to be gained, I will spend elsewhere.

I'd go the locker any day of the week, considering you already have an exhaust.

You'd find that a locked N/A TD42 would run rings over an unlocked TD42 turbo any day of the week offroad anyway!!

i haven't seen any auto's for the rear of a GQ, only front, honestly with the rear Limo of a GQ, you won't want one, better to front lock the baby and go from there.

Yep, a well serviced GQ LSD is a winner. I'd lock the front if it was me.
