just unbolt the top.

easy

cost of soft top only cost, just the canvas top

engineering cert only needed for the rollbar if not stock from factory.

I can highly recommend classic car interiors...classiccarinteriors.com.au...located in caringbah
they did my soft top for my fj40 shorty for a little over 700 dollars and that included the whole thing...frames around the doors and all mounting clips press studs etc...

Look here for pix of the top Ehsan Kiani from Pakistan is making, installed on one of my 76fj40's:
http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthre ... did=199249
It is about $600US for the top, and all the factory replica bows and installing hardware. If you're running "ambulance doors" in the rear, you'll need to convert to a tailgate, or 1/2 doors...I'm very happy with the quailty of his product...He can ship dhl airfeight direct to you...
