Water pump 2H

Post by RED »

I got my water pump replaced early last year. Went to flush radiator (looking brownish water) (and mate had borrowed for months so wanted to provide some TLC), and when I've put the coolant in, went to drive home form my mate's house (there for the weekend), noticed a puddle under my car. When I looked where, it was coming from where the pump mounts to the block. Can I simply remove the pump, give it some gasket goop and re-fit, or is there something more sinister at play?
What's worse? Tony's girly voice or Julia's big man voice???

just remove the fan, belts etc etc, and undo the bolts. Clean up the housing surfaces, and then apply some true blue gasket blue on it, refit and leave to set. Then see how it goes.

easy as

After market pumps are pretty cheap anyway and come with the gasket IIRC
