what is going on

Post by oops »

Yep my batterias never seem to charge properly (always go flat) they did it since new. Also when i turn my lights on the pulsate according to the revs. when i measured the voltage across the batteries it was 13 (from memory as my stupid Multi meter sh@t itself the other day). It is a ford falcon alternator sticker with a mitsubishi sign on it. I have a feeling it could be the regulator, but how do I check and does anyone else have any ideas on what it could be.

Hi oops, if your only getting 13 volts, even at idle, this is way to low to be able to fully charge your battery and I would imagine you don’t get a really long life out of a battery.

You may need to get it looked at and probably get the reg fixed.
