I took the week before Tuff Truck off to finish off any little bits on the truck but it's all finished so i'll got a week to sit around and do nothing.

Cheers mick.
Your in Newcastle you should spend the week helping DRS. At least then you can say you beat him at TTC. If he doesnt make it it doesnt count :D
good point. i like your thinking ruff.

this is also my first TTC and i cant wait!! i think i might get a pack of adult sized nappies to keep the mess under wraps ;)
i too have still yet to drive mine due to hold ups! but its pretty much done!! between now and TTC i have to get some wheeling done to get some kind of feel of the truck and try and fit in a photo shoot with 4wdmonthly.

as for the voting i find it rather annoying when competitors go out and buy mags and votes, imyself can say that im stuggling for $$ to get me to that wkend!! after paying the entry fee havingto go and spend hunderds of $$ to buy mags is completly fristrating!! it would be good if it was like previous said competitors can only vote once as in one votingslip with each nomination entry!!

BANG

Bundymonkey and Mark have nailed it on the voting system..that sort of system would work heaps better (that is if Tuff Truck do really want it to be a public vote) and would encourage more people to pre pay tickets, which in turn puts more money in the pockets of the organisers before the event, leaving less to chance on the day (for the organisers) should the weather be crap and people not go etc..

looking forward to going and my money is on the trucks(term used loosely :D ) of Pete and Mal for top honours...

and if someone withdraws, does the reserve take their place or does everyone shuffle up a spot?

Cheers

If i were you i would be hoping for the opposite. The Mud almost put me out for the rest of the weekend. We worked on the Defender from the end of my run right through till about 10am sunday to get it going again. We had almost ever electrical item shorted out. Sam Keck had similar issues.

Then again you prob wont get close to the deap stuff anyway :finger:

yep, I reckon the mud kills more trucks than any other stage. Alot of trucks limp through the rest of the weekend after they have finished in the mud...

just about every rig has somesort of issue with the mud I always take spare alternators, the mud always kills them on my rig.

last year we had to pull the radiator out and flush it. it took two of us to carry it to the hose and one hand to bring it back. more mud in the radiator than in the mud run.

I think 7, prime for us. Although Getaway is on Nine, but they are doing stories on the Hunter region hence Tuff Truck is part of that region. Not sure when it is being aired though???
