I've heard that this is not going to happen.. ....unfortunately!!!..... so perhaps a thread of images / discription of each OBC comp truck competing this year, would be a good idea, especially for the newbies....
Anyone know and can offer 3 easy steps of posting/uploading an image? and include that also for those that don't know how....me included  .
;)
use photobucket or email me the pics & ill put them up for ya

Hi guys, looks like Shayne and I are heading up to OBC.

I noticed that there is a ball being held on Friday night this year, does anyone know if it's the first or last Friday of the event.

I would think it's the last Friday Night to co-incide with the presentation night, but I'm not sure.

See you there

Best Regards

It was, I needed to work our what time I need off.

Anyhow for those that are interested I spoke to Paul V today and they are having a celebration on Friday 16th May before the event starts. This is a neat casual affair, no denim.

I'm sure there will be more info closer to the event.

Also the presentation will be on the following Saturday Night.

It is good to see the pages back up. Some of our friends / family kept asking why our names weren't on the entry list before! Plenty of new stuff to read. I think Dave is going to / has sent a pic so hopefully that will get uploaded to our entry details (No. 30)

The contact details for Paul and Sharyn are still there - via the Contact Us link on the bottom of the pages
http://www.outback4x4challenge.com/contactus.php
- includes PO box, phone and fax and email addresses.

Our major concern at the mo is for our the trucks to arrive before in Sydney before we do !

Well spotted Pam, it used to be on the side in big print, you certainly need to look hard to find it know, anyhow we should just be thankful they updated the site. I'm sure the cars will arrive in time Pam, you just need to pray they don't unload the container in the wrong port [Queensland i think] like what happened to the Thai's last year.

ELF - 83.
Last year I think you will find most of the Cane Toad Mob sent their cars by a car carrier and then flew to Broken Hill, apart from driving your rig to Broken Hill you might think about hiring a car trailer, because if it is anything like my experiences you will need one.

Hi Jonsey, apologies 4 the delay in reply, we've just been helping out run another Drive4Life in the Vic High Country...which was a huge success yet again 87 4bees who raised $100,000 for Cripple Kiddies motorized wheelchairs.

We believe Warners truck is a swb Prado, why not get in touch with Terence Reinders via gpoffroad@telkomsa.net and have a chat! they all v. excited cos their 4 Safrican trucks have arrived in Melbourne....much to their relief. The guys fly out in about 10 days.

C u soon too.

Yep, looks like it'll be a close run thing with the UK trucks. Fingers crossed we can get them out of customs before the event starts ! So much for sending them a week earlier than last time so there was plenty of time...

Only one of the 3 teams is Scottish btw, don't let that Redpath character tell you otherwise :)
