Indicator fluid

Post by mickrangie »

My indicator fluid is low and they no longer flash....

Do I have to use Land Rover ‘flasher can’ to get them going again or is there another brand that will do the job?

BTW it’s a 93’

I use plain old blinker fluid but suprisingly enough, you can use
one of those 'personal' lubricants like
Astroglide or KY since they have
what it takes to stand up to the intense
heat and pressure found in a tight
flasher.

I always use a fully synthetic blinker fluid as you can significantly extend the drain interval, and you get far less evaporation at elevated temperatures around the high temperature filament/ glass interface, again extending the life of the fluid. :P

NO, you can use a generic flasher if you hold it in with OEM duct tape.
