looks like high speed, high pressure damage to me...I've got a bfg mud as a spare that used to be on an offroad race buggy and the tyre looks exactly like that. they ran high pressures at high speed...

plus it could have been a bit of "you get what you pay for"

maybe 2nd low would have been better less torque to the wheels less wheel spin, rock is harder than rubber price doesn't change that.

what do people expect, 100 tyre has to cut costs somewere.

Toughest tyres on the planet are TSL's definitly worth the extra, never a puncture or a tear after heavily abusing boggers and swampers.

for a C note per corner .. I would not have expected much more ...

Still may be a good tyre on a low weight 4b ...

80 bucks a corner wouldve got something like nankang mudstars, plenty run them, i did for 2.5 yrs, flogged em and never had a problem, went everywhere and did so well. for a budget tyre the nankangs are half decent.

tyres

ahhaha sorry guys, i meant $80 a tyre MORE, otherwise, yeh plenty of bj action needed for those prices, maybe even some pants around the ankles action, which personally im not into, but each to their own.

so yeh sorry guys, $80 a tyre MORE is what i meant. making them $180 a corner fitted and balanced in a 33x12.5x15.

YEah go the MAXXIS tyres. Ive had a set of their Buckshot MUdders now for going on 2 years and never had a puncture or blowout. I've run them down to 10psi in some instances. I will be getting another set soon as mine are allmost due for replacement. My spare still has the little spikey bits of rubber on it.. hehehe :)
