Painting my Rangie

Post by boggerbrad37 »

Decided to have a try at painting a car. The old rangie was starting to look a little beaten up.Only 2 straight panels on it and a matt baby poo brown or mustard colour. It was certainly showing its age. Was only going to do the outside but would not be able to live with two different colours. Here it is with new ouarter panels. Door ,lower tail gate and roof to come.

Here is is with the inside done. Alittle rough in places but i am getting use to the gun set up.
Image
Also added a cross to the roll cage behind the rear seat. It is an 8 point now.
Image
Painted the roof, bonnet and door jams today. Getting better each time i use it. Hopefully have it done by Easter.

Thats the final colour..... And I think its actually a fair bit brighter than the photos show, its much more of an orange than it looks like I think.

Not sure. It is what they call a tinter. It just says bright orange on the can. It is an enamel paint that is used for trucks and machinery. Hi gloss straight off the gun.

Almost there. My wheels are getting powdered coated. Satin black rims with orange beadlocks. Borrowed a friends 35 pedes for now.
Image
Put some Black seat covers on and painted all the interior tan trims with a special black paint. I liked this pic of the cage so i put it in.
Image
Finally put the matching 4 inch coils in the front.

Lots of little things to go but it was good to drive it again

That come up pretty good. Thought the orange would be hideous but it doesn't look too bad actually.

Well done.

Orange/Black will look great.
Looks to be some serious suspension travel there.

I love it... always wanted to paint my car purple or pink.

But then I seen Hijacks county and I wanted orange, now this thread is making me wish I had the effort, but I am most definately too lazy  :D
