Being a Landy man l am not to up with the LC situation and am after some info on this beast please?
Advice? He is only 18 - it is his first off-roader.

I'd say rust would be the biggest thing to look out for on the FRP top model.
Windscreen surround area, firewall etc maybe they have all been replaced with fibreglass surrounds by now?
$8000 seems steep for an 89 it would have to be good to have a second look at!
The 5 speeds are good but seem to suffer from bearing problems at least the earlier 1980's models did $2K plus for a rebuilt item.
I'd buy one at the right price.
