No, every other forum hates OL because they are populated with dopey noobs who cant find the sticky named BIBLE! thats conveniently located smack bang at the top of the page.

That, and they have small pee pees. :finger:

ha ha ha How can anyone possibly "think" something might be ifs?ha ha ha That's the funniest part of this thread. Eyes are a gift from god... so are knees... bend down and look under the car. Then it will all come rushing to you weather it's ifs or not. ha ha

It seems to me wardy that the only one looking down on others here is you. In fact, in your 7 posts on this board you havent contributed any real tech at all, actually half of them have been critical if not downright derogatory towards this place and its members. Whats the reason for this?

If someone cant take a bit of lighthearted ribbing (much like on a club trip and someone stuffs up and everyone has a bit of a joke at their expense) then perhaps they're in the wrong sport.

Harden up princess. :finger:

Ps are you drunk? You're post has all the hallmarks of an inebriated rant against the ills of the world. No offence intended Im just curious. I worked in pubs for 6 yrs and developed a 6th sense for drunken ramblings.

Rofl of course its a contest are you that dumb? if your forum issnt fharking popular were would it be? bloody dead with 1 or 2 visitors meaning noone for you to try and talk down to and try to make your self out to be some sort of almighty god when you are clearly some fat sweaty bald guy in a white singo that happens to have been lucky enough to have someone teach them a lil somthing about how a car works so why not sit the Fck down chill the fck out.

here comes all the gramma rip offs....

um you're the one talking down to someone, using abusive language, ictating how someone should behave and the one in need of chilling out. Not sure where my suposed actions are that warrant your misguided, inappropriate response?

Way to ingrate yourself to the forum with an attitude like that

You see, island vitara is a noob who seems to have figured out how it works around here.

I highly doubt any of you people that post these threads or reply with irate dribble about the big bad meanies on here are regulars on as many forums as I and some others here are.

Shit I have my own bloody forum ffs and once you veture out a little further into the wide wide world of the interwebs you'll realise that people don't have to nor will the put up with your ignorance and stupidity.

And that's pretty much what not searching boils down to, you're either too stupid to see the bloody bible sticky at the top of the page or just to ignorant to read it or the bloody forum rules

Like it's been said harden the fck up yourself princess.

Petal, do you think you're gonna be all right?

So anyway if mods were doing some work they would have cleaned all the crap up, and those that have been on here a while would have maybe chucked in a link like below saying have a look.

Vitara Bible for all things you would like to know
http://www.outerlimits4x4.com/viewtopic.php?t=48779

Other wise Old man emu from ARB offer some good gear and would be able to talk to you about what you want to do, other wise think about your 4by needs what you do, expect to spend up to or over $1000 to get a good set up, for the time being get out there and learn a little about it first, read the owners manual they are also very informative.

But Seriously some people have very little knowledge on 4WD's some do, realistically most people don't know a lot about 4bies or the suspension systems under them so they come on here to find out, second you'll find when they ask what do I need to do/ Or what should I get that said person has unknowingly set out to invoke and get some constructive knowledge from those that do know. I have worked in parts industry before and quite regularly found that I knew a lot more about the car /4by that person was planning to do work on. So why not add some constructive knowledge in stead of just hovering around like Vultures ready to pounce on the next Noob to ask a question that has been asked many times before.........

Yeah ok. I'll pt some helpful comments to.

I got a OME lift in my 93 LWB Vit. I went with heavy rate springs to get a little more height. In addition to the $1400 on the springs and shocks/struts to give 50mm lift rear and 40mm lift front.

So far I've had to;

get a wheel alignment - $30
get camber bolts (kmac) - $88 + fitting (unless you diy)
get an ali a-arm spacer made - about $100 inc bolts n washers
longer rear diff breather hose - $sod all, used some spare fuel line

Ive also flipped my strut mounts and am getting camber bushes (another $100) but that is to try and correct a caster problem that was around b4 the lift

I've still got, extra diff noise (due to the new angles?) that will want fixing at some point and I need a longer brakeline for the rear.

Other parts that will come under more stress include tail shaft and CV's.

MUD-PIGSIERRA has made me feel a bit sorry for this individual, I think allot of us forget that just because we know something, others don't nesicarily, no matter how obvious and mundane it may seem.

Though mate as a suggestion at least have a go at the search button and Bible etc, thats what really gets people going.

esp22 wrote:When lifting a vitara...anything special that i need to do?I think they might be IFS not sure. If it is what other mods do i have to do if i want a 2 inch suspension lift kit?

OK, so I assume you know next to nothing about the workings of cars, by stating your not sure if its IFS. try this link http://www.carbibles.com/suspension_bible.html
reasonable introduction stuff, a bit of opinionated stuff in there, but If you've read many threads on here lately you should have developed a quick immunity to it.

Next of all go speak to a suspension place, tell them straight up your only inquiring and want a quote so they don't try to sign you up to buy straight up. If you buy a 100% off the shelf system, you will need to do no mods to the car.

Get some basic knowledge of how cars work, it will really be usefull if you are going to do any mods at all to your car!
Wheeling on completely wicked angles, without even looking stable.

You cant honestly expect to come on a site and expect all the answers to your noobie questions to just be laid at your feet. Im all for helping those who help themselves.

I mean even an opening statement such as : "Hi guys, I looked through the bible and searched but I cant for the life of me work out........." Would be perfectly acceptable but jumping on and starting a new topic entitled "Whats IFS and does my rig need it?" is just going to clog up the database with worthless shit.

The flamings (which lets be honest, are not malicious and are in good humour) are useful because every noob who reads them then realises that the bible/search are full of answers to their questions. Go look at every noob friendly site and there is page after page of useless dribble so much so that any real tech the site contains has been diluted to the point of absolute obscurity. When I first joined this site I spent about 12 hours over a few nights just reading, and I considered myself moderately knowledgeable before I came here (I now know better ;) ).

Like I said, i'll bend over backwards for those who engage their brain and actually attempt to find some answers for themselves, I've built a rollbar for a young member here for the cost of materials and consumables cause he couldnt afford a shop built one and couldnt do it himself, but Im not going to hold the hands of retards until they stop sticking their fingers into the power socket. There's plenty of other sites that do that, dont turn OL into another creche.

wardy1= my hero

I'm only a newbie to zooks but i've spent enough years on forums to know my way around the search button. In the past month i've read hundreds of threads here that answer almost every question i've wanted to know. The time it takes to create a new thread and wait for answers you could have read 10 threads on the subject and found out everything you could possibly want to know and then some.

I get where your coming from but if sites/site owners were concerned with the datbase being clogged up with shit they would leave out the General tech sections with 30-40 page threads with the "3 word post story" or the continuous posts of Youtube footage that everyone has seen, or the " who is the Stig" that has been debated a billion times...........:P

Im all for helping one out with a little knowledge as you, I have have helped noobs with actual hands on work too, Im just saying a simple check out the Bible section or heres the link will do. I for sure as hell don't want no creche either but making people welcome doesn't go as stray either.
