HJ75 Lift and Tyres

Howdy,

Trying to work out if my troopy has a lift on it or not. Anyone able to tell me what the ride hight is on a stock one? So either from bumstops or rim to guard.

Also. I think I wanna chuck some 33's on mine. 31's just look too small. I'm assuming like any other car 33's would technically be illegal? Is there an easy way to correct speedo? Do I need a lift if I don't already have one or will they go on without dramas anyways?

stock speedo setup should be pretty spot on with 33's unless it's been changed to suit the 31's

the road gripper split rim that was the standard spare when i got my truck was equivalent to a 33. (dunno the metric measurments). mule75 is right, when i got 33s the speedo was bang on. i think just inside the door frame or somewhere there is a tyre placard that will tell you what the standard sizes are.

They come out with a 750 16 which is a tad over 32, and most 33s these days measure under 33.

And is that across the board. None of them came out with 31's or equivalent?

Mine currently has 31x10.5 R15 on it. So that's definitely smaller than a stock tire?

32x11.5r15 fit on stock (i run these on my HZJ75 ute with stock susp)
33x12.5r15 rubs on stock suspension because of the width
285/75r16 (measures to 33x11.5r16) fit because there not as wide as the 33x12.5, but you need a 16" rim

my rims are flipped and dished 50mm each and don't hit the springs with 36x12.5 et2's.

swivel hub bearings don't like the extra leverage though.

But I wouldnt need to offset quite that much to put 33x12.5's on there!

I ran 33 12.5 on mine without any trouble. I now run 35s, it binds up with full flex, but on road it is no problem. I run 2" suspension and 2" body lift.
