feroza headlight upgrade?

Post by fredzz »

hi fellas, just purchased a 92 sx 11 roza.

has anyone fitted a hid converson into theirs?
what have you done to your head lights to improve vision, firstly before adding additional lighting?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Steer clear of aftermarket HID kits- they're illegal for on road use. Get some driving lights if you want better vision in the country and wire them with heavy duty cable.

To improve your standard lights get some H4 Osram or Philips high performance globes. They both make bulbs that will give around 80% more light for the same wattage. Try www.powerbulb.com .

Upgrading your standard wiring to the headlights would also be worthwhile.

HID kits in stock housings tend to be rubbish anyway.. you really need the projector setups. (And as said, they are illegal)

I am using the Philips +80 with a 6mm loom with relays and it improved the stock lighting enormously. I also am now running IPF Headlight Inserts which improve the beam pattern and make the cutoffs very distinct.

Add to that a set of Lightforce 240s and 4x Hella 181s on the roof and it's like daylight ahead :D

If you have the amount of money like HID costs, buy yourself a thick wired loom, IPF Fatboy Globes and some decent spotlights. That'll get you out of trouble.
