Safe boost levels - LN106 3L
G'day all,
Long time lurker, first time poster.
About to get the injectors and pump o/hauled in my rig and was wondering what most would consider as a safe maximum boost psi from a DTS system fitted to a 260k motor. I have owned the rig since75k, the motor is strong and has had 5k oil/filter changes singe I bought it.
Cheers

I would say 10psi to get full life out of your engine.
My old dts kit ran 9psi standard.

My DTS was running 12psi (she was fast for a diesel)..............$6000 worth of engine rebuild later mine is now set to 7psi and is actually faster now than before
So if your missus won't kill you - run 12psi boost, blow your motor up, spend $6000 and get a faster truck running a safer boost
I would say 8psi is safe 10psi would be the max i would run.
