Silly question... rear halfshaft removal. How?

Just in process of rebuilding a set of GQ axles (to solve the inherent weakness of my Discovery I hope). Done the front no problem but now started on the rear and am faced with an unfamiliar set-up. So before i go and hammer the sh*t out of it what is the correct procedure for removing hubs/shafts. Brakes and calipers already removed.

IF.. I under stand this correctly...

There is liek 6 or 8 studs the hold the axle to the housing, the bearing's are on the axles. Undo the nuts on the studs and it should all pull out, may take it tiny bit of force. Its Pretty simple and straight forward... I think....

I see the bolts you refer to but first I need to remove the hub-brake disc/rotor assembly. Its that bit I am having problems with. There appears to be a big flat nut in the sentre with 2 raised tabs on it but can't see how to remove it short of tapping it round with a hammer but don't want to do this without being sure it is correct procedure. Also worried there may be reversed thread on there somewhere!

take the 2 bolts off the caliper, where the caliper bolts to the housing, then u can remove the caliper.. the rotor will just slide off over the wheel studs. then to get the axle out you take off the 6 nuts on the inside of the housing as was said above.. then the axle/bearing/hub assembly will all come out in one piece..

That makes sense now. i am used to a Land Rover where you pull the shaft out without removing the hub and if you need to remove the disc the hub has to come off first. i will give it a go and see what happens
