HD coil springs

Post by sootygu »

I am looking for a front pair of 3” HD springs to suit a GU Patrol. From some research there appears not to be a true HD 3” available but I may be wrong. I have set of 3” ATM but not that happy with them for over time they have sagged to around 2” lift.

Kings make a 3" but not HD, are there others manufactures out there that supply a true HD 3" coil. Spring rates would be handy if you know them as well.

even tho kings dont offer a "hd" coil they generally are alot more resistant to sag than dobbos.
i think its more to do with the quality than the spring rate.

also if you retain your coils or have lifted springs without relocating the diffs so the perches sit directly below and paralel to the chassis perch the coils will sag alot faster

ps i run dobbinson hd coils in the front of mine and they have sagged anout 5mm in the year they have been in the car
1hd-fte 5 speed tiptronic 105 series
78 series troopy for work
gu ute play truck For sale

i think i have a problem

I already run Dobinsons and as mentioned they have sagged.

I do agree that Kings make the best springs but their 3" are not rated high enough for the load I carry. Had kings on a 100 series and was very happy with them so would be my first choice if they had the right rating.

No other options??
