threre are manufactures out there that make the tray but you have to move the cyclone pre cleaner
if that fails then get some right angle 25mm steel and make your own if your handy with a welder

This way fits a bigger battery i think and gets it away from the turbo.

The other kits around move the fuel filter and possibly the aircon lines. $$$ I have read about batt's being fried by being too close to the turbo .

How often are you using it and what for??

If you are serious about it get a decent kit or decent parts...
Projecta looks ok but you get what you pay for....

I only use mine for camping a few times a year and mount it in the tray in a batt box. Fridge goes on gas once there and I can take batt box out and leave it at the tent. lights all night no matter where the car is.

I bought the solenoid, box( with meter) and connectors from ABR/ sidewinder, used my old amp power cable i had laying around.
He has kits as well.

look for ABR sidewinder on google .. not arb

Good luck!

Look for a Blue Apple Thumper pack.

Same sort of price as a dual battery. Really good units, but has to go in the ute tub.

Dual Battery

Post by GU42PATROL »

I owned an 05 navara D22 and bought a Pihrana tray kit for $100 and a dual battery solenoid for $50...Never had a drama with it...

The tray sits where the Fuel filter is originally mounted...The only mod I had to do was bend the metal fuel tubes slightly...No cooking of batteries, no problems whatsoever, went into birdsville and nothing went wrong.

The battery was a smaller centuary deep cycle and was running a 80L waeco fridge in 35 degree heat.....No problems what so ever.
