are these the 33inch tyre or 35s and what size tyres would fit nice under a 99 gu2.8 with a 2icnh lift thanks daniel.
TNA get ya hand off it. You have no idea.
Mate 285/75R16 are so close to 33 who cares. And just for shits and giggles. BFG say there muddie is 33.1".
I ran these on a swb GQ and they where great. I used them till there end so some where around 80000km. Did alot of VIC hicountry and mud around Taralgon. There a good size. Very popular on patrols and cruisers before they went to 17"rims.
35's maybe a struggle. Yes you have the good diff ratios. But still not much power there. As most of use start with 4.1 diff gears and put either the 4.3's or 4.6's in.

you can fit 35-36's with a 2inch (or sagged 3inch) lift.DANIEL.LUX wrote:are these the 33inch tyre or 35s and what size tyres would fit nice under a 99 gu2.8 with a 2icnh lift thanks daniel.
285s from different manufacturers will vary in size from just over true measured 33 to measured 32...
Same with tires marked 33's... some are a true measured 33 some arent.
Do you get much rubbing with only 2" lift ? what else is needed ? push front forward or anything ? I'm in that boat now.. got a stock height GU recently.. but I'd like to run my 35 simex's sometimes if possible but stick to 2" lift to stay closer to legal..

98 GU.. front locker, cheezy sliders, 33's, winch etc.. .... long shopping list.

USUALLY 285s are taller than 33s. 33s are usually sold fatter than 285s. This is true of Coopers (spoke to the dude yesterday) and same with Procomp:
285/75R16 33.1
33x12.5R15 32.8
A little off topic, anyone noticed how much cheaper tyres are for 15" wheels vs 16" or 17" (like my goddam patrol alloys) - $300 becomes $400, or along those lines. F#$k!!
