O2 sensor on 1.6 MPFI

Post by WasabiPimpNinja »

I'm just about done with the wiring on the Zook, it's a 1.6l 16v MPFI into a Sierra. The only thing I'm struggling with at the moment is, I cant find the wire for O2 sensor... Does anyone know which wire this is out of the harness???

it is a black wire that comes off the o2 sensor BUT this single wire fed into a four pin plug- pink with black, red with blue, black with green and black with white. the red with blue is the one u want and feeds into pin b20 on the ecu, the others are for the heated sensor type.

type 1 vits have the single...they are the ones with the cone-type airflow sensor, the type 2's have the 4 wire, they have a 'hot-wire' type airflow sensor.

so mine, which has the three wire air sensor, need to get a heated oxygen sensor with the full 4 wires? (my vitara came without an exhaust or dizzy so makes some wires hard to line up :) )

yeah, if your vit has a hot wire airflow sensor than it should need a 4 wire 02 sensor.
