Can anyone decipher this number rad hose?

Post by ausyota »

I have a hose that is buggered on my Hilux with a Commonwhore V6 motor.
Now I dont know what the hose was originaly off but it has a number on the side "WATER HOSE N840509"
Anyone work in parts that can decipher that?
I have rang Coventrys and they shook their heads.
Any help would be much apreciated.
Paul.

That will more than likely be the number for the contruction of the hose material, not the actual shape & fitment.

Best to just take it down & match it up by eye or if it is not complete just make a cardboard cutout of the shape you need.
Don't ask me, ask them. I'm just runnin for my life myself.
Well they are all following you...
No they ain't, I'm just in front...............

Which hose, top or bottom?

Which water outlet at top of engine, ABS or NON-ABS?

Which radiator top tank, petrol or diesel?

Its the bottom hose. Its on a VP motor with no aircon. The rad bottom tank just has a straight outlet on the pas side.
The hose sort of goes down where the aircon would normaly sit, if there is a better option that would let me fit an aircon pump for an on board air setup even better.
I will snap a pic or 2 of the hose in question later today.
Cheers
Paul.

For my bottom hose, i used some straight stuff off the water pump to a 50mm 90 degree copper elbow, then another short straight to a second elbo, then a third bit of hose with a piece of reduce hose inside to fit the solid pipe that comes with the OEM diesel radiator that has another hose going to the bottom tank.

Mine has AC
