all jap 1.6 motors, regardless of valve count were a g16a. so when u go to order stuff specify 16 valve efi.

the 8 valve heads have a narrower timing belt and crank pulleys etc. but all the 16 valve stuff was the same. the swb 16 valves were a type 2 motor and ran a different air filter as opposed to the 16 valve type 1's. there are other slight changes but most of the servicible gear was the same.

do you know what ur engine came from?

Mine was an import and was out of a LWB. i only found that out by the airfilter and vin plate from the vit frontcut.

better to take filter in with ya and belt if u can.
