Calmini control arms question... (not in bible)

I have inherited Calmini suspension when I bought my Vit.

My question to anyone with this suspension is...


Is the plate that attaches the lower ball joint to the control arm supposed to be underneath (as in the pic) or on top of the arm?

They need swapping around. The ball joints should be sitting on top.

wrong way round mate - it should be on top. I have that kit.

As cj and Ric said needs to be swapped around.
Suzuki Vitara JX 1.6 EFI Hardtop.

I have been sorting out a few little problems with the front wheel alignment and suspected they might be on wrong.

yep... but still can't get enough adjustment on the drivers side. It's pretty close but not perfect :)

They have settled in a bit now, also put a ARB bar on the front which put it down a tiny bit. But they needed to settle in so there was more down travel as the rear was doing all the work.

I think that's slightly misrepresenting the way vitara's work. IMHO they always seem to keep their front wheels on the ground. adding lots of travel to the rear will put the rear wheels on the ground, but the drooped wheel won't be loaded. It's just the way they are.
