*pics of bar fitted at the bottom of the page*
I brought this bullbar for my WT sierra today. Its in pretty sad condition. i'll be cleaning it up, sandblasting, paint etc. (Hoping i didnt pay too much for it!)
i pulled it off a 81 NT sj410 1litre.
Anyway my questions are: what brand is it? and what do you reckon it would be worth?
thanks

i was looking for something exactly like that for my zuk (ages ago!)...
ended up settling for a farm gate bar (crap) for a carton of beer...
For $50 And a couple of coats of paint, it should look alright...
as long as you dont have a BL, then you will have to muck about with the mounts.
Good work

its only welded on, a proper snatch point should be bolted to the chassis rail with crush tubes inserted and using high tensile grade 8 bolts or better.
why risk your life and others by snatching of a 10mm bit of steel thats welded using suzuki factory welding(shite)
not saying you condone it but just for everyones safety.

That hook is strong as! But the chassis that is welded to it is NOT! My chassis is bent like a banana because of a mates ROCKY! I was very Grrr at the time, but now my bar covers it up

its a heap of shit i had it cut off after towing out a discovery it bent up horizontally and bent my front crossmember badly. after having it restraightened i am still yet to have it sleeved to improve strength.
lilzook, one of your pics looks like one of the front shackles could hit the lowest edge of your bulbar! It might be me or an effect of the photo, but if thats the case, you should rectifiy it!
Wheeling on completely wicked angles, without even looking stable.
I have an alloy bar with a similar shape to it & I hate it.
I am wanting to put it back on the zook as I have no protection at all & am going to move the original mounting points so I can bolt it onto the chassis rails. Will cutting the corners (wings) as discussed make it brittle or weak? It gets used to push other vehicles, jack off etc
I want to keep the best possible approach angle.

NB: just making sure you know that loop is for towing or tiedown point only it is not a snatch point.
i was told from a few guys from the zook club that its the best way to snatch a sierra apparently its quite strong im told
Ive snatched a troopy out with that point before reversing, I mean it wasnt heavily bogged up on the axles, Im sure its not the weld you would worry about more so the condition of the bogged vehicle, angle, and what not and what it might do to the chassis...? I would put it down to the situation on whether or not I would be using it to get some one out.
