75 series sub tank.

I have purchased a sub tank and associated bits for my tray back. I would really appreciate some pics of the factory setup and mounting position of the fuel solenoids and the wiring diagram for the switching and guages if anyone can help. Unfortunately there is not any plugs in the harness for this gear and I will have to wire the lot. Thanks.

One idea that worked very well for me was to fit a 60 series tank above the spare on my 75 and transfer the fuel via an electric pump.
Got to keep the spare on the winch and the tank is up high away from the rocks and not as likley to float in deep water.

To Cyrel: Another question I forgot to ask - was the 60 series tank the normal tank or an auxiliary tank?

you need to cut the spare tyre mount out

just run a bit of heavy 'C' channel at the bolt end and bolt it through, its what i did on mine.

Trust me the wiring is there!
hands and mums dont count!!!

the solenoids you can put right down near your handbrake mount under the cab, and make sure you get the tank straps and the front tank mount, it makes it easier
hands and mums dont count!!!

The 60 tank is the standard one that is made to fit over the spare and it holds 90litres same as the 75.
I built a cradle that bolted to the shocker tube at the front and to the chassy at the rear and had the straps over the top. it did the Birdsville track and a lot of mountain driving with no probs at all.
