we could not tell you. all i know is that since we don't have a liquor licence they are not required to be here... but we haven't heard from them to say that they will still be coming. so... they could show up, but they might not either!

TRD86 if you are stuped enough to drive around in a rig with allmost everything on it illegal then you deserve to get reemed.
Maybe next time tow a trailer with ya offroad tires in there so ya truck doesnt look to appealing.

Hey Fellas, well Had an awsome weekend, was good to meet you Paul aka Vanbox i hope i didnt scare your other half on those little hill climbs near telecom, and i discovered today that i did actually dent my rear quarter right on the turbo sticker  but its nothing major! DOT Had a ball today! Apparently there were a heap of rigs awaiting tow trucks, we didnt go home via kilcoy.

TRD 86 what sort of fine / punishment did you get???? A mate from our crew went through and the only thing they questioned him about was his extended shackles, he just informed me they were fairly decent blokes. where they okay to you?

If your mods were either illegal or not mod plated then i dont understand why anyone is complaining about the DOT being there doing their job.

Thats just the thing, You think your vehicle is legit and you set the vehicle up with safety and handling in mind and get pinged on something that you have never heard of or read about. But on another note one of the vehicles in our group has 2" extended shackles and they had a look and said yeah mate your fine! So sorry but im a little confused!

I somehow got to drive past in the 40.....sounds like I might have got away with the extended shackles if they did pull me up, but not sure how the 35s would have gone. Was a big relief to drive on by but.

A mate in a GQ Ute (bout 3-4" susp, 2" body, 33s (had 35's play tyres on the tray) got chased down after he originally drove past them. Then a cop came flying up behind with the lights flashing over taking trucks behind him etc. He then started listing all the stuff that is illegal on the truck (all stupid stuff, like tray mounted too high, illegal lift etc). My mate was like nah, it's all 100% approved. And tried showing him the papers, but the cop woudln't listen and called the DOT up to where they were parked. DOT got there and looked over the papers, and let him go.
