80 series power steering

Post by 80seriesmad »

Hi My 1hz power steering fluid keeps going down but i have no leaks?? Is it possible tha it's leaking back into the motor through the pump shaft seal.

Is this common.
Cheers

Not common, but yes if the pump is crook it will allow p/s oil to leak out the front seal and into the engine.

P/S shaft, bearing and seal kit will fix it (unless the pump is stuffed and the pressure is in the wrong places).
