Wanted 4BD1

Post by cloughy »

Oh its a sad day, but I'm dieseling my RR

I'm after a whole ISUZU powered county ideally, the only thing that need to be in good knick is the engine, and if its an LT85 the box aswell, not worried about a shagged LT95 as I have a couple of spares

Interested in anything, will pay good Money, well, what I think is good, which is rare for me ;)

Interstate is fine, but if its a wreck, help with transport would be great

PM or call, Thanks Matt

Tried a ring around the truck wreckers? A mate bought a complete 4BD1T from an NPR from a melbourne wrecker for under 4k a few years back.

Trying to get one with 12V ancillaries and the correct bellhousingy bit, ideally with an LT95 bellhousing :D

There was a place at bundaberg/rocky that was selling all the bits needed to mate a truck engine to an LT95 (engine and LT95 bellhousings, flywheel, etc.). Not sure if they still have any, but they used to advertise in the 4x4 trader mags.

A stage 1 is probably the cheapest way to get everything, only problem is you miss out on the gear driven PAS pump.

I dunno if you'll like my price at the moment :D

I've got a couple "supposedly" are fair bit cheaper I'm chasing, but they'll probably fall through

There is a ser3 wagon that lives in the Blue Mountains for sale that has a 4bd1, I have passed it a few times it has a 4 sale sign in the window. I think it lives in Faulconbridge, someone may know of it. I will see if I can get more detail if your interested?

Anyhow why deisel whats up with the 4.4 on gas ive got both and have been cringing at the price of deisel and am verry reluctant to fit the 4BD1 now tho i will be so i have a good long distance rig without the hassell of finding gas tho i may hunt down a some more parts and put together a omnibus from the good bits i have tho i will still be reluctant to drive it at the rate of fuel prices even tho it will do 10k to the L or beta its still not as cheap to run as a 4.4 on lpg and no were near tha grunt .....
