Which one the 8 or the 16 valve?

as for potential I've heard of turbo'd 8 valves pushing 140flywheel hp

The most I'd even seen (with my own eyes) is ~125flywheel hp out of a turbo'd 8 valve

There are some nice photo's of some well set up turbo'd 16 Valve 1.6's around but I've no idea what kind of power there putting out.

Stock 8V - 55kw
Stock 16V - 65-70kw

How much potential power all depends on $$$. If you're chasing power though, start with a 16V.

3RZFE - 2.7litre hilux - It'll make the power of a turbo 1.6 without all the hassle and runs (effectively) the same auto as an EFI vitara (AW-4 variant)

or if you want to stick to the smaller motor go for a 4AGZE. stabdard supercharger and heaps of off-idle torque.

if the toyota motor uses the same auto as vitara (aw-4) will it bolt to a vitara transfer or a hilux? can a 4agze bolt to a corolla auto or something there all good ideas to throu around.

the end resalt is to find a good combo that is cost efective to replace come the high reving and water logging conditions that i'm shore that all you guys would love to see it in action.
