hey mate,
is a 4d55 the same head as a 4d56??? when i was looking for parts for my 4d55 there was 4d55/56 on things such as heads, short motors, etc... For a reco head for a 4d55/56 was about $1000.... If you are interested i have a head i pulled off my 4d55 last week sitting in my garage looking for a new home..... it was working perfectly when i pulled it off.... wouldnt be asking much as well.... probably $250 or lower.....

hey mate,
you said you were probably going to change the motor and gearbox for something more powerfuld and automatic.. i suggest a 3.8 commodore motor with the turbo 700 auto... there are kits for it from marks adaptors but the kit is going to cost $2000 when you can get a whole vp commodore with at least 6 months rego for that....
