98 prado

Post by nick t »

Hi everyone,I was wondering if anyone knows how to get better fuel economy out of a 98 v6 prado.I am going to fit a snorkel soon but arb isn't garanteeing anything.I fitted a snorkel to my old 60 series and I reckon it gave me a bit more power.Any input would be appreciated :)

What's your current fuel consumption?

There was a thread recently about this (not the snorkel - you're wasting your time on that one). There was a couple of theories about oxygen sensors and cleaning the air flow meter hotwire. Not sure if there were any results but you should be able to turn it up on the search function if its working.

extractors and exhaust usually fix up economy a little, as long as you dont take advantage of the extra power with more right foot too...
