V6 commodore Temp sender

Post by Screwy »

Guys,

Looking to throw a mechanical temp guage into my buggys VN series 2 motor... now i cant identify the sender....

There isnt any senders around or near the motor that are for coolant water temp that i can see..... The only one is there is a sender under the Alternator inside the front of the motor in an absolute bitch of a spot that i cant identify without taking the alternator etc all off to look at it.

Does anyone know where the water temp sender for this motor is? is it the one under the alternator at the front in the nightmare of a spot?

cheers guys

Yep.
It is a piece of piss to pop the alternator off though.

Just make sure you dont touch the alternator positive from the terminal on the spanners or engine when you remove it, unless you disconnect the battery first.
