Hey guys,
I want to get another 4x4 after not having one for a year or so... ive previously had a sierra and a feroza and am considering either the
v6 grand vitara (3 or 5 door)
or
2L EFI normal vitara
I do a lot of driving and want to use the car as my daily driver and convert it to LPG to save on fuel costs. I choose the bigger engine options because i know with LPG i will loose power so want to sort of make up for it upfront. Plus I love the feeling of power and cant be bothered with aftermarket retrofitting. (id love a 4agze in a vitara but its too much work)
I live in Perth, so i think sometimes the 2.0L vitaras can be a bit hard to find around here.. especially in the soft-top version - not sure if ive ever seen one.. so thats a factor too, i want a car thats not too hard to find.
Peoples thoughts or opinions if they have driven both are appreciated, i hear the 2L vitara has decent power. I drove a v6 yesterday and felt the beastiness of it (compared to 4cyl cars) and liked it.
anything to look out for on these cars before i buy em? should i get them inspected? (hoping for less then 170kms anyway)
Cheers
Paul

found a 3door 1.6L efi vitara =) pm me for 4x4ing around perth
v6 vitara only came in 5 door. the v6 is the model to go for, especially if you are going to run gas. the 2.0 litre four also came out in the 3 and 5 door models but won't outlast a v6. i own a 4cyl estate, v6 estate and 2.7 xl7 and the v6's are fantastic engines. noisy chains are to be expected but this can be overcome with the right oil change process.
Paul good to see you back dude!!!!
I always preferred the shorter wheelbase vit - so the 4cyl...
Curious though as to which one is easier to modify?? how easy to fit (?) size tyres and how easy they are to lift through springs or body??? Or are the aftermarket parts pretty much the same?
