Kia Sportage power steering box

Post by want33s »

Mother in law came over today and asked me to take a look at a squeek in the front end of her KIA Sportage.
While I was under there I noticed it had power steering and the box is about the same size as Vitara & Jimny.
Its mounted outside the chassis rail but could be made to fit on the inside with an adapter. It uses four bolts to hold it on. Pitman arm is about the same length as Sierra too! (Although I didn't have a tape so couldn't measure it)
Has anyone else seen these or tried to fit one to a Zook?

Once you are talking about converting an outboard mounted box to an inboard box via adapter plates etc I wouldn't bother.

IMHO the "perfect" sierra steering box is a LHD 2WD hilux box.
