I am joining the Nissan crowd
I am picking up a GQ on Friday
92 GQ. ST model. 4.2 petrol. Bullbar, tow bar. Very neat.
The "plan"
at this stage is to keep it stock and use it as my daily driver and weekend tow rig for the FJ40.
So, it looks like I will be frequenting the Nissan section more often for some tips.......................... and Bruce's humour

How many times do you reckon you've typed that line Bruce? As soon as someone mentions diff gears you must cut and paste!

If you are that curious, drop the centre and count: 37 crown, 9 pinion for 4.111; 39 crown 10 pinion for 3.900; 35 crown 8 pinion for 4.375.
Most probably has 4.111's in it.
Built, not bought.

I have to wonder how many people will actually try Alt+F4 now, if only you could log something like that

Well, just picked the old girl up
Runs very nicely indeed. Very smooth. Are all the GQ clutches very light ? By light, I mean the don't take massive leg muscles to push in.
I will post some pics soon

You must have the Vacuum boosted clutch...MMMM soft as warm butter. Got a mate with an unboosted clutch, damn hard thing compared to the boosted one in my mav.
Built, not bought.

I could be wrong, but as far as i know only the 3lt GQ's have 4.3 ratios, so would think it would have 3.9 or 4.1 ratios.

Ah... wondered about that. I have had my foot resting on the clutch while starting it a few times and I can feel the clutch go super-light as the motor catches.
I was wondering if this was standard or not; I guess not!
It feels good, baby.

Actually I am used to a '99 Magna, so the GQ is quite nice
And it is a HG41 - whatever that means
Good news about the clutch then
It is nice and light and the petty has plenty of power. Did a run down to the 'Gong, and she went perfectly on the freeway and up and down Mount Ousley

4.3's came in the utes. HG41 stands for Heaps Good 4.111:1 ratios.
Oh, and GQ stands for Good Quality.
