you 2 have had a bad influence on mick, i stopped in the other arvo and he has cut the front end so it looks like Bartso's. (mini indicators!!)
He has got the material for the front hubs so we will cut them this weekend and machine them, any chance you can send up some hubs as the od seems to vary quite a lot and we want a good fit on each set. Also you will need the 'small' wheelnuts (the short open style ones).

We still had/ have a few steering issues which got us wedged into the rocks fairly tight. I asked Bartso to give it a little bit of loud to try and get it to come around to a clearer spot to steer. The Rear axle went bang.
So in my infinite wisdom, I said to try again in 3 wheel drive. At this point the Front uni/shaft went bang. (wasn't hitting on anything and the tyres were turning reasonably freely)
So we tied it up and then pulled the winch out, Popped it up over the rock (single wheel drive, still no steer at this point) and it pivoted down and dropped into the hole nose first. It sat there for a bit and slowly the vehicle commenced its journey to the final resting spot.
It ended up leaving the park with no drive at all. Rear centre is a bit unhealthy now.
Few more weeks in the shed will fix it.

i am pretty sure tamara came first in the patrol.....steve and myself got 3rd in the suzuki...and shayne got 1st in outlaw class (buggy)
Awsum work in the zook! You guys did well. There were some pretty big holes to loose it in.
I reckon Tamara drove the Patrol a lot smoother and better than Mick.
we had some hairy moments in the zook....a couple of times we were sure we were going over but steves quick work on the accelerator pedal saved it!!! i tried to get as many photos of everyone else as i could.......but i was pretty stuffed after some of those stages (like trying to pull the zook out of the waterhole backwards) but all up i think it was a great weekend!!! and looking forward to doing it all again sometime!!
